KRS European Youth Forum

Dates: 3–4 May 2025

The KRS European Youth Forum is an annual gathering in Kristiansand that gives young people from across Europe a direct channel to decision-makers. It is held during Kristiansand Democracy Week (Demokratiuka) and the European Conference, and is organised in partnership between PVN, Kristiansand kommune, the University of Agder (UiA), the FORTHEM alliance and Samsen Kulturhus.

Participants work in facilitated groups rather than through plenary speeches: they identify the issues affecting them most, debate them, and agree on shared positions. In 2025 the key points raised were inequality, disinformation, authoritarianism and the lack of voting rights. The Forum’s conclusions were published as a Call to Action addressed to European leaders, decision-makers and legislators on behalf of 100 youth representatives.
