“Transforming Youth Work — From Ideas to Action in Local and European Contexts” was an Erasmus+ study visit hosted in Arendal and Kristiansand, Norway, from 11 to 16 August 2025. It was designed for youth workers who already have ideas for their communities but need the methods, contacts and confidence to carry them through.
The programme combined workshops on non-formal education methods with visits to Norwegian municipalities, youth centres and civil society organisations. Participants also took part in Arendalsuka, Norway’s largest political festival, observing at first hand how public debate, institutions and organised civil society interact — and then translating what they saw into concrete plans for their own local and European work.
