Y-LEAD — “Youth Leadership, Engage and Advocate for Democracy” — is an Erasmus+ youth exchange hosted in Kristiansand, Norway, bringing together young people with and without fewer opportunities to share, explore and co-create practical tools for civic engagement.
The exchange gathered 45 participants from Norway, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Serbia, North Macedonia, Hungary, Slovenia and Romania — a deliberate mix of countries with long-established democracies and countries where democratic institutions are still consolidating. The group worked through the Norwegian model of civic participation and contributed directly to the Kristiansand Youth Forum during Democracy Week in May 2025.
